Blog Hop - National Coffee Day

Hello my dear friends,

Today i am taking part in a blog hop held on the occasion of the National Coffee Day. The blog hop is taking place over at www.coffeelovingcardmakers.com

My project today is made using gorgeous supplies from Taylormadecards4u.com, Monica being one of the sponsors offering prizes for this hop.

She will be giving away a set of the beautiful Coffee Blends Paper pack and the winner will be announced on October 7th.

Starting today 29th September  and ending 6th October - you have a 25% discount on all Coffee Digital Images! make sure you get the ones you like, they are absolutely gorgeous :)

Now let me tell you a little about my project. Lately I started experimenting all sorts of mini albums. I find them more interesting and fun to give rather than a simple card. So, every time I have the opportunity I try and make one.

With Monica's ephemera and amazing digital papers is such a pleasure to combine and get such mini albums.
My album today is an accordion style one. It is very easy to design. I have a 30 cm x 14.5 cm piece of card stock which I folded as an accordion in order to get the small folds. I used orange and yellow card stock. The mini album is tied together with a piece of brown ribbon.
The front panel is made out of a background tag on which I added some lacey die cuts, a label with the girl holding a coffee kettle. The flower and the butterfly are also die cut.

On the inside I placed tags, oval shapes and small pockets. All perfect to add photos, messages, quotes or anything you consider. The inside panels are also stamped with symbols and words related to coffee.

On one panel there is a waterfall part, decorated with small labels with messages for all coffee lovers.
All the tags can be found in the shop :)
The gorgeous pattern papers fit perfectly.

I wanted to add diversity so I used different shapes to make tags and labels for photos and messages.

Small pockets, belts and plenty of space for the inserts.
I think that all coffee lovers will appreciate such an album.
Really hope you will enjoy it and you will check out all the other projects. You will definitely find gorgeous projects :)

I also have a youtube video presenting the album, so feel free to check it out :)

#10 Lavinia World Challenge

Hello, my dear ones
today I have a card as inspiration for the new Lavinia World Challenge - #10 actually! How fast does time fly! It was like yesterday when I first told you that I am one of the DT members in the amazing Lavinia World Challenge!

The card I am presenting today is a card which can be used for a new house, or for a friend or even for a birthday, you choose :) I do not have a sentiment exactly for this reason.

The main centerpiece are the beautiful houses from the Bella.s House stamp set.

Card recipe
1. Cut the card base from a 300/gsm white card stock. 10.5 x 14.5 cm folded.

2. Cut a smaller panel from 80lbs white smooth Neenah paper

3. I used Distress Oxides inks and made the blended background.

4. Using a stencil from my stash and Distress Ink - vintage photo, I obtained the background stamp with the tree and the little bird.

5. Using a sun rays stencil and some Nuvo Glitter paste, I obtained the shiny and glittery sun rays.

6. Using the Slender Miniature Mushrooms and some small flowers and leaves from the Flora and Fauna A5 stamp set from Creative Expressions I made the bottom design.

7. Stamped and colored the houses using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and glued them using double sided foam tape.

And this is it! Really hope you like it!

               No photo description available.

#122 Scrapy Land Challenge

Time for a new challenge over at Scrapy Land
Because I want to be sure that this year I have all my cards ready in time to mail them, I decided to make a Christmas card. For my card I am using a very cute Lawn Fawn stamp - Frosty Fairy Friends. It is such a beauty :)

Card Recipe:

1. Card base - 300gsm white card stock - plied dimension 10.5 x 14.5 cm and I cut an oval shape on the front panel

2. Stamped and colored the fairies and all the other decorative elements. I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers - I absolutely love them

3. The inside of the card - using Distress Oxides I made the background, I used 2 shades of blue - Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch and just blended everything together and then I stamped the snowflakes

4. I cut a piece of white card stock with the Stitched Hills Bordered Dies and assembled the snowy hills

5. Glued the house, the branches and the mushrooms.

6. I added a lot of glitter with my Nuvo Glimmer pen and some glossy accents.

7. I added the other 2 fairies and the branches on the front panel

8. The sentiment is from the same set and it is stamped on a piece of cardstock which I distressed on the edges

And this is it!

Hope you will enjoy it and give it a try and ... see info below ;)

Calendar Card - taylormadecards4u DT project

I am showing you today my second project using the Passport To School Digital Kit designed by Monica from Taylormadecards4u

I decided to make a multi-purpose card :) Being a teacher for 10 years, I have had times when a small calendar could have come in handy, so my project today is a calendar card.
It is a sort of trifold card on which I played with the beautiful ephemera and papers from the kit.

I added the carpe diem die cut sentiment because I think it is perfect and motivational for a teacher to see it every day :) there are also some small flowers I made using flower punchers and added small gems in the middle.

I added a calendar for the 2019-2020 school year, the calendar is made by me in a Word Doc, I cut it and assembled using 2 brads. Here and there I added some washi tape, to decorate.

There is an ornage doily beneath the calendar for a little contrast. the beautiful alphabet paper from the kit is just perfect to be the background for this panel. There is a pocket with some small tags inside. Tags are always useful :)

The inside of the card offers plenty of space for small notes or as a To Do List :)

There is a double panel which has some extra space to add different info. The card is 16 x 16 cm (folded). I tried mixing the images so that the whole set to be displayed. It is a remarkable digital set, you can do soooo many projects. make sure you check out my fellow DT members to be amazed of their creativity and originality. You can find their project on the main blog - https://www.taylormadecards4u.com/blog

Check out this set and all the other gorgeous supplies.
Until next time, take care, stay safe and be creative! xoxo

#9 Lavinia World Challenge

Time for a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenge.

For you to inspire I have a card that I am actually pretty proud of :)
For my card I used the Daydreaming Silhouette and the Trailing Ivy stamps.

Card recipe:
1. Cut the card base from a 300/gsm white card stock. 10.5 x 14.5 cm folded.

2. Cut a smaller panel from 80lbs white smooth Neenah paper

3. I used Cracked Pistachio and Mowed lawn Distress Oxides inks and blended the whole background. I used a circle made from masking tape and made the moon shape.

4. I black embossed the fairy using Versafine Black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder

5. I then stamped the Ivy and here I had a little accident, because the Distress Oxide background was not fully dried :))) my ivy leaves were a little smeared. At first I wanted to throw everything away and just start over, but then it just hit me, why don't I use black ink and stamp over :) And this is how I got the multiple leaves effect.

6. I colored the fairy and the giant mushroom using Nuvo Gllitter markers and then added some Glossy Accents on the fairy wings.

I decided to leave the card like this, not adding a sentiment. I think that you can use such a card fr multiple occasions and it is up to each one to add a message on the inside of the card.

You should def give it a try to such a card!
Hope you will enjoy it ....

Back to school bookmarks - Taylormadecards4u project

It is September already? Woowww, time flies away :)

We have all been very busy working at projects to inspire you. Monica from Taylormadecards4u  has amazing new kits and ephemera in her shop. You definitely need to check them out.
My inspiration for you, for today, are some bookmarks I made using the Vintage Teacher tags set. This set is abs AMAZING! You can use it in sooo many ways.
I decided to make some mixed media bookmarks, because you can never have too many, right?

And I was also able to recycle some leftovers from previous projects.

For the base I used recycled cardboard on which I glued tissue paper of various patterns.

I distressed the edges using Vintage Paper Distress Ink. I applied stripes of wrapped washi tape for some more vinatge effect.

I also had some flowers from a previous project and I decided to use them as border for the tags.

The flowers are distressed with Derwent Charcoal pencils.

Some of the bookmarks have floral stickers. :)

Each tag has a piece of pink ribbon attached to it. And I also used some small quotes to add the final touch.

What do you think? I think that these are perfect gifts for your favorite teacher/s. They are very easy to be made, you just need to use the tag set and your imagination.
Also, stay tuned 'cause on the 15th September I have another project for the Back To School theme. It is well worth it to wait.

Until then, check out Monica's shop and blog, and make sure you make your stash for the Christmas presents. :)

Hugs and kisses, stay safe, take care and be creative!
XOXO
