Vintage Christmas - Mixed Media cards - Taylormadecards4u supplies

Howdy friends,
Christmas is just round the corner and I am in full process of cardmaking :) For you today I have 3 cards I made using gorgeous ephemera from Taylormadecards4u.

For my project I used the Christmas Vintage Post Cards ephemera .

I decided to make some simple mixed media cards using things that I had at hand on my crafting desk.

I used corrugated card board, die cut leaves and snowflakes poinsettia leaves.

All three card bases are 300gms white card stock - 14x10.5 cm.
The main panel is 10.13.5 white card stock which I embossed and then distressed with Distress Inks - red and green.

On the embossed panel I added on each card, a piece of wrapped corrugated card board. On it I started mixing the die cut elements. So much fun :)

I cut the ephemera and distressed the margins a little and then added on the mixed panel. On top I added either a piece of chipboard embossed with embossing powder or some other die cut elements.

As a final touch I added snow paste, red gems, small bells and some glossy accents here and there! And ta da! This is the result. Hope you will enjoy it! :)

Huggies all and until next time take care, stay safe and be creative :)

#15 Lavinia World Challenge - Christmas with Rory and Darcy

Hello, hello my lovelies
Christmas cards break is over it is time for a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenge #15.

My project today is using one of my favorite stamps from Lavinia - Rory and Darcy in combination with Christmas Eve. I really love the final result.

Card recipe

1. Cut the card base from a 300/gsm white card stock. 10.5 x 14.5 cm folded.

2. Cut a smaller panel 10x14 cm Bristol paper

3. Black embossed  the stamps using Black Versa mark ink.

4. Blended background: Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Tattered Rose - Distress Oxides.

5. Leave everything to dry and added white splashes - white masking fluid

6. Added the ornaments using Nuvo Drops of various colors.

7. But there was still something missing so I decided to add the tag corners cut from red mirror card stock :)  and also colored the presents under the tree. And there was still something missing.
So - I cut the red ornament and stick it to Rory.s hand, I also added a small bow from twine thread and also a glittery star to Darcy.s hand.
And now it.s all done :) What do you think?
You can always give it a try.

#127 Scrapy Land challenge - Christmas shaker card

Howdy friends,
time for a new challenge over at Scrapy Land :)
And for you today I have a very very easy Christmas shaker card. For my card I used a very cute die from Tonic Studio monthly kit #11.

Card Recipe:

1. Card base - 300 gsm white card stock - plied dimension 10.5 x 14.5 cm

2. Front base panel - 10 x 14 cm red card stock from my stash which I cut using one of the no line cutting die from the kit. If you do not have the kit, you can use any other background die.
I absolutely love how it turned out :)

3. Using the fuse tool I made the transparent pocket with sequins and glitter for the shaker elements

4. Glued the pocket and then using double side foam tape I glued everything to the card base

5. I added 2 leaves that I cut using Garden Greens and Mini Holiday Greens leaves and a wooden reindeer. And as a final touch I added 3 green gems.

Decided to leave it as it is without a sentiment. :)

And finish! It is pretty easy and simple to make it so you could easily give it a try!

Christmas boxes for tags - Taylormadecards4u

December is here :) 24 days till Christmas and the holiday rush is just about to reach the peak !!!

My project for you today is something very easy to make but I can assure you that it will be of vital importance. I always like to have my presents wrapped nicely and also add a little something to it. So what else to add if not a tag?
But what if you could have a bunch of them ? Wouldn't it be fun? And, of course they are wrapped up nicely so ...

My inspiration for you today is / are ...

Christmas Boxes for tags and I used gorgeous supplies from Monica - Taylormadecards4u.

The set that I used is called Christmas Boxes and it is a gorgeous digital set

There are 5 beautiful patterns, I only used 3 of them this time.
They are so versatile too, you can choose more ways to make the closing style, you can see in the pictures below how I did it.

I also decided to add some decorative embellishments.

The red green pattern box contains 4 different tags that I made using embossing folders, snowflakes cutting dies, stamps, inks and sequins :)
Making tags is a good way of using your scraps, too :)
The box has a side opening.

I have had some cutting dies from previous projects and they were just waiting to be added :)

After embossing the tags, I used Distress inks to add a little colour.
The red with snowflakes box has a larger opening.

The blue box with snowmen has a top opening and I used a big paper embossed ornament to decorate it. On the ornament I glued a wooden snowflake.

All the boxes are tied with brown and white twine thread. They are already a present ;)
