Vintage Fancy Fold Corner Card

Hello, hello
today I would like to show a project that is very dear to my heart.
I have the honor of being a member of the Taylormadecards4u Design Team.
It is like a dream come true.
Being part of this team gives me the opportunity to work with vintage related supplies and not only, being able to improve my mixed media skills.
So, for today I have a Fancy Fold Corner card which I decorated with supplies provided by Monica Taylor - owner of Taylormadecard4u. - Make sure you check her store, stunning products :)

For today's project I worked with Christmas Vintage ads and Toys and Dolls tags and ephemera.

I also used some supplies from my stash and had a blast decorating it.
I wanted to make it as a more complex card so I added an inside pocket where I put the tags, so it is a 2 in 1 card.

Goha Reading Girl - project #2

Christmas is just around the corner :)

Cannot wait for it!

Today's project is made with a very beautiful 

digital stamp from Goha Digital Stamps - the reading girl. it is my second project as a DT for them and I am really enjoying these cute digital stamps.

I chose to make a surprise slide card because I think it really pops up and it gives the image an extra something :)

So ...

1. Cut my 10.5 x 14.5 cm card base from 260 g/mp2 cardstock

2. Embossed the snowflakes and then used Distress Oxide to sharpen a little the panel.

3. Printed, colored with Polychromos the stamps, both the Girl and the tree - which I found in my stash.

4. Designed the sliding mechanism using a piece of wooden sheet and foam tape.

5. Stamped the sentiment on the pulling tab 

6. Finishing touches, glossy accents and some glitter.

And here it is!

Sciarpina card - Brown Sugar Challenge - December

It is time for another DT project for Brown Sugar

The theme is DECEMBER makes.

For my project I used the gorgeous stamp called SCIARPINA.

I wanted to play a little so i decided to make a mixed media card.

Steps:

1. Cut a 14 x 14 cm card base - red card stock

2. Added a 13.5 x 13.5 cm cream cardstock and a 13 x13 cm pattern paper which looks like a knitted piece.

3. Printed and colored the stamp using Polychromos pencil - really had fun with it.

4. Added all sorts of deco elements: chipboard snowflake, die cut sentiment, flowers and a piece of gauze. Added some snow paste and distressed with inks and there it is.

Huddle - Christmas Card

It is time for another Christmas Card made as a DT for A perfect time to craft.

I made this project using a super cute digital stamp called Huddle designed by Sheep Ski.

I decided to make a shaker card with these fluffy penguins. 

So ...

Steps:

1. Cut a 14 x14 cm card base from craft cardstock

2. Cut a 13 x13 cm of watercolor paper and played with some watercolors, green and blue.

3. Print, colored and fussy cut the stamp. I used Polychromos pencils for drawing.

4. Designed the shaker and assembled everything.

5. Added glossy accents, some snow paste and a die cut sentiment.

Let's get lit!

The weather in Norway is pretty chilly lately and slowly it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas :)

So, because we have looonnnggggg nights here, I will try and lit things up with this card I made, as a Guest DT for Beth Duff Designs.

I used the Let's Get Lit stamp set. I tried to use as many elements from it so I decided to make a shaker card.

Steps:

1. Cut a 17 x 12.5 cm card base from a 260g/mp2 ivory cardstock.

2. Cut a piece of Bristol smooth paper of 16 x 11 cm and played a little with Distress inks - Oxide Fired Brick and Ink - Mustard Seed. 

3. Stamped and embossed the sentiment using Gold embossing powder and added some lights with black ink.

4. Cut the shape of the window using a die from Tonic Studios.

5. Stamped and colored using Polychromos pencils, the reindeer, the tree and the ornaments.

6. Assembled everything together, added final touches using glitter and glossy accents ...

and this is the result!

Robin - Christmas Window card

With the cold weather outside and some snowflakes here and there, it's definitely beginning to look like winter is coming.
Today's card is my first project as a DT for A Perfect Time To Craft

For the month of November, the sponsor is SheepSki Design - amazing digital stamps
For this card I used Robin - digi stamp

 Steps:
1. Cut a 14x14 cm cardbase from craft cardstock
2. Cut a 13.5x13.5 cm pattern paper square on which I applied some structure paste using a stencil with musical notes.
3. Used a lacey edges die on which I used the same stencil and added some notes using an ink pad.
4. Die cut the window using scarlet cardstock
5. Printed and colored the stamp using Polycromos and Luminance pencils.
6. Added glossy accents and some snow paste for a wintry effect.
7. Glued everything together and there it is :)

#386 challenge Card

I had a sketch and Bling it up as a theme.

Christmas reading bat

Hello hello,
today I would like to share with you a project I made using a stamp from the Christmas series.
I chose to work with the cute bat reading.
You can find the stamps here
Steps:
1. Cut a 10.5 x 14.5 cm card base from a 260g/mp2 cardstock.
2. Cut a piece of Bristol smooth paper of 10x14 cm and I made the background using Distress oxide inks. Blended everything together and then, using some masking paper I made the light for the street lamp.
3. Cut the hill using a border die.
4. Printed and colored using Polychromos pencils.
5. Stamped, cut and colored the street lamp and the sledge.
6. Assembled and glued everything together. Stamped the sentiment and added glossy accents.
7. As a final touch I added some snowflakes that I die cut using glitter paper.
 And this is it :)

This card was made for an optional challenge for Try Stampin on a Tuesday.

Vintage girl - Christmas Card

The weather outside is starting to look pretty wintry. 

cannot wait to play outside in the snow and enjoy the holidays.

But, until then, as I started making my Christmas cards, I found some vintage pictures that I bought some time ago so I decided to use them.

A first card in the series is the one that I am showing today.

I like to experiment mixed media techniques and I am taking baby steps in using chipboard pieces. I find them fascinating. 

 Steps:

1. Cut a card base of 10.5 x 14.5 cm creamy cardstock.

2. Cut a slight smaller piece of blueish pattern paper that I distressed and decorated using stencils, structure paste, embossing powder and inks.

3. Cut some shapes using dies - some swirls and a wreath.

4. Started assembling everything together. Added some flowers and glitter, glossy accents and this is it.

Challenge #6 Card

Hello everyone,

today's project is a Christmas card I made for a challenge on Try Stampin on  Tuesday challenge.

I had to make a card using the Tic tac Toe sketch  and a twist given by the Double Trouble Challenge Blog 

From the Tic Tac Toe I chose: Red, Circle and Tree and the twist was to add anything that hangs.

I decided to make a shaker card and to make a Christmas round ornament ... which hangs :)

I made a 10.5 x 14.5 cm card, I used some die cuts and an embossed sentiment. Not very complicated but I really love the result.

Wanderer Card

Hello everyone,
today's post is on a card I made using a digi stamp from Andrea Norris - owner of SheepSki Design.
For November's challenge at Brown Sugar the theme is to make a project expressing thankfulness, gratitude or a thank you.

I chose to work with the Wanderer because I considered it to be very challenging.

So, this is what I did:

1. Cut a 10.5 x 14.5 cm card base from a 300g cardstock.
2. Printed the digi stamp on a coloring friendly white card stock and colored it using Polychromos pencils.
3. I made the background using Distress Inks and Oxides on which I stamped and embossed the mountains using a stamp from my stash.
4. I added snow paste on the peaks for some interest.
5. I added the stamp using foam tape and as a final touch I stamped some birds and the sentiment.

And this is it!

Hello everyone,

today's post is for the #383 challenge on Try Stampin sketch challenge.

For this I used supplies from my stash that were waiting as in forever.

1. Cardbase 10.5x14.5cm

2. Stamped ornaments colored with Polychromos and Glossy Accents

3. Patterned paper stripes and gems.

4 Assembled all using the sketch.

Autumn Fairy

Hello everyone,

I want to share with you my first project as a DT member on an amazingly talented group Goha Digital Stamps.

I chose to work with the Autumn Fairy. It is a gorgeous digi stamp and gives you infinite possibilities to work with.
Here is how I did:

1. Cut a card base of 10.5 x 14.5 cm.
2. Printed the image on coloring friendly white cardstock of 220g. I printed the image on a A5 size.
3. Colored the image using Polychromos pencils. Even if it took me quite some time, I really enjoyed the details. I tried to blend everything as best as I could.
4. Cut an oval shape from a pinkish cardstock. 
5. Glued the Fairy using foam tape. 
6. Final touches: Glossy accents for the berries, some Nuvo drops here and there and I punched some leaves to give an extra final touch.
I did not want to add anything else because the stamp is gorgeous and I just wanted to leave it like this.
This is the final result. Really hope you'll enjoy it!

Try Stampin challenge #382

Autumn is amazing!

Don't you just adore the colors and smell of the upcoming winter?
Well because of this, I decided to make an autumn birthday card and because I also had the optional sketch from Try Stampin' what better reason did I need :)

For this card I experimented something.
I have had in my stash creamy cardstock with some scratchy pattern on it. A friend of mine gave me the idea to use Distress inks and a brush to emphasize the pattern on the cardstock.
So, this is what I did. 
I took Distress Oxide - Faded Jeans and Distress Ink - Old Paper and using a thick brush I just slightly brushed the cardstock. Sooo in love with the result.
Now that  I finished the background I started designing the elements from the sketch. I die cut 3 squares which had some sort of a border. Then I stamped and colored using Polychromos, an acorn, a cupcake and a sentiment.
Next I cut 2 banners and made a fish tale.

Time to assemble everything together ...

Color Challenge #5 - Try stampin' on Tuesday

Hi all,
Today's project is my second project for October as a DT Guest Member for Try Stmpin' on a Tuesday!
It is a project that I made with great pleasure and I really enjoyed working with the color sketch provided.

Steps:

1. Cut a 14 x 14 cm card base from a 249 g/mp2 cardstock - white
2. Cut a piece of 160 cardstock - orange - using a stencil and Distress Ink - Vintage photo I made the clock pattern.
3. Using a die from Tonic Kit#13 I cut the suitcase using purple cardstock and for the outside decoration I used fuchsia cardstock from my stash and another cutting die from the kit. 
4. For the inside decoration I used graphic 45 stamps which I stamped and glued on the inside of the suitcase.
5. Added a piece of blue thread to knot everything together.
6. Stamped some small images to decorate the exterior part of the suitcase and also punched 2 tag.labels to give a final touch.7.
7. Stamped and glued using foam tape - the Bon Voyage sentiment.
 And this is it.
