Sweet Alice - SDelights July Anime New Release

Hello, hello my dear friends
Time for a new Guest DT project.
Today I have a gorgeous stamp from  SDelights
It is the stamp from the New Chibi July Release

The stamp set is called Alice and it is absolutely fantastic. You can use it on a wide variety of projects, from tags to albums, canvas and maaanyyy more.
I decided to go a little mixed media and shabby for my project.

Recipe for the card:
1. Cut the base from white card stock 300 gsm
2. Cut a shorter panel from a pattern paper block that I have had for ages :)
3. From the same block i added a smaller piece of wrapped paper and added in the middle.
4. Cut the oval doily  and distressed the edges. Using a word stamp I added some shades on it. Before gluing down the oval doily I added 2 pieces of an old curtain to give the shabby effect
5. Printed and colored the stamp and then fussy cut it. For my coloring I used Polychromos pencils.
6. Added the stamp with some double adhesive foam tape on the back.
7. Using paper flowers and leaves, some small wooden embellishments and Nuvo drops I finished my card.
8. the card has no sentiment, even though the set has one included, I decided to leave mine without as I think the card is proper for more than one occasion and I will decide when the time comes, what to write inside.

Now make sure you check out the new release and the blog post for some amazing projects provided by the talented DT members.

And there is also a coupon that you can use by the end of July :)

Fairy tags - Lavinia World Challenge #30

Hello, hello
It is the first Thursday of July soooooo
time for a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenge - #30 :)

Here is my inspiration for you, hope you like it and you will give it a try!
For my project today I used Distress Oxides and a tag die from ECD, which I really wanted to use for some time now.
I wanted to make something else so I decided to make these 2 tags which can then be used as bookmarks.

1. I cut the bases from 300gsm white card stock and then using the die i shaped the upper part.

2. Using Distress Oxides I made the backgrounds. I used 2 groups of shades: Peacock feathers, Broken China, Tumbled Glass and set 2 Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Shaded Lilac.
3. I used my mixed media mat where I added some ink and then mixed it with water. I pressed the bases onto the mixed colors and obtained the backgrounds.

4. Using stencils from my stash and Dusty Concord Distress Ink I made the second layer of the background, a half butterfly and some dreamcatcher feathers.

5. Left them to dry and then I stamped Dragonfly Whispers using Black Archival Ink, on one tag and Fairy Foragers on the other one.

6. I added some more background pattern using Mystical Swirl, Dandelions, Flowers Miniatures.
7. Distressed the edges using Rusty Hinge
8. Added Glossy Accents and some ribbons :)
And tada! This is it!

Friendship Card - SD guest DT project

Welcome back,
today I have a very exciting project to share with you. For the next three month I will be a guest DT for the amazing digis from SDelights ;) yeyyy so happy
Today is also the July Chibi New Release and this is the gorgeous Friendship Grows set.

My project is a slim style card.
Here is how I made it:

1. Scored an A4 card stock sheet, in half and then trimmed it at 10.5 cm x 17 cm

2. Cut the base panel from white Neenah paper 10 x 16.5 cm and made the blended background using Distress Oxides: Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers and then using a stencil I made the grass and the flowers with Bundled sage Distress Oxide.

3. While waiting for the base panel to dry, I printed the beautiful stamps and cut them using my ScanNCut.

4. I colored them with Polychromos pencils, such a relaxing activity :)

5. After all was dried and colored I started assembling the pieces. It took me a few minutes until i finally managed to assemble the final variant.

6. After reaching the final variant of elements position, I still had that feeling that something was missing. So I decided to cut a frame using rectangular cutting dies from my stash. The frame is a smaller than the base panel just to emphasize the beauty of the stamps. :)
I also printed the sentiments and cut 2 small panels using Spellbinders irregular rectangular shapes.

7. As final touches I added Glossy Accents drops, here and there and 3 small foamy hearts on the flower pots.

And this is it!

#29 fairy evening card - Lavinia World Challenge

Hello, hello
It is the third Thursday of June soooooo
time for a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenge - #29 :)

Here is my inspiration for you, hope you like it and you will give it a try!
For my card today I used Distress Oxides and Distress Inks.
It was supposed to be something else, but the technique I tried using, just did not want to be successful :)

1. I cut the card bases from 300gsm white card stock.

2.  Cut the base panel: neenah white paper 10.5 x 14.5 cm

3. Using Distress Oxides I made the background. I used Broken China and Worn Lipstick

4. Stamped Aurora with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

5. I then used the Flower Miniatures to create the upper arcade. I used Dusty Concorde Distress Ink

6. I stamped the Star Burst using Distress Ink - Tea Dye

7. I also stamped the Fairy Buttercups using Distress Ink - Broken China.

8. Because I thought the card needed some more, I made a half moon using a circle die cut and some Distress Oxide, also Broken China. Then added some sparkly gems, glossy accents and traced some shades using a white gel pen.

9. Oh and some Nuvo drops :)

No sentiment, again :) but I really like this sort of cards to be like this, no sentiment, as they are like small canvas, don`t  you think?

Summer turtle holiday

Hello, hello
new challenge started over at Angie”s Digital Stamps.

It is a monthly challenge where you can win 2 of Angie”s digi stamps
Any project, using any image, from anywhere is welcome! Adult oriented projects are allowed as well!

My inspiration for you today is a very simple card I made using the TURTLE FAMILY DIGI STAMP

For my card I used masking paper, distress oxides and colored pencils. The sentiment is from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
I die cut and colored the cute turtles and added them with double sided foam adhesive. Cut the base panel using a nesting die and added it onto the card base.

And ta da, this is the result.
Really hope you like it and you will give it a go! It is very easy and who knows, you might also win some cute digis!

#28 Lavinia World Challenge - Moon Fairy

And it is June already :)

and it is the first Thursday of the month which can only mean one thing:

a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenge - #28 :)

Here is my inspiration for you, hope you like it and you will give it a try! This time I played with watercolor paper and Distress Oxides . At the beginning I wanted to make a galaxy background, which I have been trying for some time, but still unsuccessfully  :)
so i decided to go with this, instead
The card recipe

1. I cut the card bases from 300gsm white card stock.

2.  Cut the base panel: watercolor paper 10.5 x 14.5 cm

3. Using Distress Oxides I sponged here and there different shades. Blended them using a water spray bottle. Where I was not happy with the blending, added some more onk and then water, until i came up with the background.

4. Splashed some white acrylic paint for some more effect

5. I white heat embossed the Fairy Dust Silhouette and then, using a round die cut I made the moon shade, using dusty concord and a sponge

6. Using the Background Script stamp and the Snow Shrub stamp I stamped the frame. I used Tea Dye Distress Ink.

7. Wrapped the edges of the panel and as final touches I added the sparkly gems :)

No sentiment, again :) but I really like this sort of cards to be like this, no sentiment, as they are like small canvas, don`t  you think?
